Warriors Prove to be Tough Match for Panthers

Last night, our Panthers went up against the Righetti Warriors. We fought hard, but we unfortunately lost the match. Our girls did the best they could and dove for that ball, but the Warrior girls were just too much to handle. Although this was a loss in the players’ eyes, it was a win for the supporters of the Pioneer Panthers because watching their sportsmanship was truly inspiring. This is what some of our lady Panthers said:

Sophie Valenzuela (12): I’m proud of my team because we’ve had a tough season so far but at tonight’s game, not one player gave up. The entire team played to their full potential, and I’ve never been more proud of my players. As captain, I’m proud of myself for leading the team and keeping everyone talking, this has probably been the best game of the season, in regards to sportsmanship.

Cassandra Velasquez(12): I think we played well as a team and played to the best of our ability, but we could’ve taken that win.

Morgan Krause(10): I think we played well, even though we lost, it was the best way I’ve played the whole season. We kept up the entire game.

Social Media; Got a Favorite?

Mankind has developed many advances in technology that allow us to communicate and interact with our friends and family; students would argue that social media is

the best, but which one? Applications such as Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, etc. have quickly gained popularity within several age groups. They all share similar communication advantages; however, everyone has a personal favorite.

Instagram would have to be my favorite because there are many pictures and videos that are very entertaining and educating to watch such as makeup tutorials and stuff like that. I also like viewing my friend’s pictures and videos they share. -Yareli Villa (11)

My favorite social media app is Snapchat because it’s the one that kept it real and that hasn’t copied any other social media, unlike Instagram tried copying Snapchat! -Cesar Juarez (12)

Snapchat would have to be my favorite because you can look at your friend’s stories and see what they’re up to and they view your story and see what you’re up to as well. I also like Snapchat because it’s very fun to use like using the filters and sending funny videos to your friends. -Griselda Bautista (11)

My favorite app is Instagram because you can express your feelings in a picture and all your friends get to see. Another reason why it’s my favorite is because I have made great friends on that app. If it wasn’t for Instagram I would probably never have talked to them at school. On Instagram you get to meet new people and post pictures that are filled with amazing memories, oh and my favorite part is keeping up with the gossip! -Anna (10)

If I had to pick my favorite social media app it would probably have to be Twitter. If you have multiple friends or you’re just bored you can tweet what you’re doing, what you’re going to do and or what you’re thinking. Plus, it’s super easy and quick to use. -Diego Aguilar (11)
