Free Art Supplies!
This Friday, The Ian Hassett Artist Exchange will be on campus for the students in our art classes. Even if you are not enrolled in art, but have an interest in drawing, painting, etc., please come by the trailer that will parked near the band room during 5th, lunch & 6th period.
The concept is simple—they accept gently used/new art supplies and funnel them to other artists looking for supplies for their next project free of charge. They have a mobile trailer stocked with art supplies—all for free!
Guidelines:
-If you have any art supplies you won’t be using again, please bring them with you and we will collect them.

-You are limited to 5 items per visit (12 pencils=1 item, 3 tubes of paint=1 item, etc.).

-Please bring some kind of bag/container to carry your items.
-None of the items obtained from the Artist Exchange are to be resold. If we discover that someone is using the supplies for resale, they will be banned from the program.
Yearbooks On Sale Now!
There has been an ongoing debate whether the price of the yearbook is really worth buying it. So, is it really worth it?

"A yearbook is a collection of memories of you and your friends and their friends too; it will last forever," said Mr. Howard. Later on in life, if you are a parent or even a grandparent, a yearbook is what you can use to show the later generations what you were like back in the good ol’ days.
"It's a tangible thing to be carried with you wherever your life takes you. With it, you will always have access to your PVHS memories," explained Howard. The yearbook is a symbol of reminiscence and the best times of your high school experience.
Students may say that the yearbook is too expensive, but considering how big the book is, it's fairly reasonable. A college textbook costs considerably more and is no doubt much less interesting! So remember that $95 is a steal and is something the members of the Yearbook Staff personalized for you, the students of PVHS!

PLATONIC LOVE
this might be
a love poem,
from a gay boy,
but to be honest
i could fall in love
with you if i wanted.
breezes from bushes
that stay still for
hours, even if there
is wind.
like spider webs
wrapped around sticks
and called wands,
nothing magical is
beautiful at first.
i will love you until
my laptop dies, but
its plugged in, you
don't have to worry.
i want to hug your
arm like a 5 year old
hugs a piece of candy
at a grocery store.
a glimpse of something
i loved, you walked by
too fast so i couldn't
tell you,
"i love you!!!!"
