Varsity Tennis Hosts Morro Bay

"Even though as a team we lost, we know that for our next game we'll work hard enough to win."

-Melanie Naraval (10)

Last night the Lady Panthers on the Varsity Tennis team put the pep in the step against Morro Bay. Although it was a hard fought game, they poured their hearts into their rackets and swung with power and grace. Despite our loss, the girls all had smiles on their faces showing good sportsmanship. Good job Lady Panthers!!!!

SHARe Club Wants You!

The purpose of the Safe Healthy Adolescent Relationships (SHARe) Club is to educate and provide awareness to stop relationship violence/abuse. The SHARe Club has several rallies and events planned. The advisor is in charge of many support groups and is like a counselor that anyone could talk to when upset, hurt, or in danger.

The SHARe club is currently recruiting members and would love to have you join. In October, the club will participate in some great events, such as: have a collection for Domestic Violence Solution’s battered women’s shelter, poster projects, and so much more! The SHARe club meets in room 555 during lunch every Tuesday, be sure to show up if you're interested.

“We were invited to carry a banner by Santa Maria High School at a candlelight vigil for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and that’s great, but we should get more people to participate. It’s really exciting,” says Angela Collins (Crisis Consultant)

Greater Tuna Starts Today!

Greater Tuna is the first in a series of four comedic plays (followed by A Tuna Christmas, Red, White and Tuna and Tuna Does Vegas), each set in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas, the "third-smallest" town in the state. The series was written by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears, and Ed Howard. The plays are at once an affectionate comment on small-town, Southern life and attitudes but also a withering satire of same. Of the four plays, Greater Tuna is the darkest in tone. The plays are notable in that two men play the entire cast of over twenty eccentric characters of both genders and various ages. -From Wikipedia
