Pet of The Week

1ST WEEK OF SCHOOL IS OVER. You barely survived. All the stress of fitting in, schoolwork, and worrying about being 'cool' enough can take A LOT out of a person!

What does one need in times like this? Their Mommy.....

Enter: MOMMY KITTY!

This ravishing raven-haired girl is all wit and wisdom -- just what a person needs when life can seem so overwhelming. MOMMY KITTY has been through it all, people. She entered la vida shelter on Halloween day last year, and has been waiting for her perfect people to come save her since then. She came in with her daughter, FEISTY, who is also patiently awaiting her furever home.

MOMMY KITTY is 9 years old, and after a life on the streets with her kittens would really love to know what it is like to live in a quiet, calm, stable world. She prefers a serene environment and would love a cat tree in a warm, sunny spot by the window to reflect on everything she has been through in that outside world. However, she would only prefer to be indoors only from now on....living out the rest of her days with her special family.

MOMMY KITTY is aptly named: she is that shoulder to cry on, that girl who will be fiercely loyal to you -- yet will also know when you need a swat or two. She will stand by you through thick and thin, and listen to all your woes and triumphs. MOMMY KITTY is exactly what a person needs after that tough day at school, or the impossible long day at work.

Imagine what this delicate and demure girl has been through living life for 9 years either on the streets or living la vida shelter, and your problems won't seem quite so overpowering....MOMMY KITTY will purr at you and remind you that it is all temporary, but that her devotion to you -- that special one who saved her -- is eternal.

You see? You should always listen to your Momma......

MOMMY KITTY is available for adoption at the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society located at 1687 W. Stowell Road. Or, call (805) 349-3435 or visit our webpage at www.smvhs.org to learn more about MOMMY KITTY, FEISTY, and their life on the streets.
