Hoco Dining Options
The most important thing to do before you go out is eat. For mostly everyone, food is life. Whether it's a formal dinner or a simple dinner, you’re going to need to fuel up for the big night ahead! Homecoming is a very special day for some of us; we take the time to look for a good restaurant to make that day even more special. Eating in is also an option, if you have the time to put on your chef’s hat. We surved a few Panthers to find out their dinner plans for Hoco 2016:
"My favorite place to eat would be The Swiss. I would eat a steak, because I like the seasoning that they put on the meat." -Manny Bermudez (12)
"I would go to Mikados. I would eat sushi because it has a great taste! My favorite dish is the spicy crunch roll and a cold Dr.Pepper with ice." -Guadalupe Peña (12)
"I would like to eat at Cool Hand Luke's. I would order a steak because they serve really good steaks there, and I'm also a steak lover." -Victoria Lopez (12)
"I would take my date to Cool Hand Luke's. I would order a steak because their steaks are really good." -Andy Guzman (12)
-Cacilda Ramirez
Hoco Tips
Everybody needs some tips before the big night whether it's to plan ahead or to reserve a table at the best restaurant in town. Ladies, make sure to get your nails done a day or two before homecoming. Gentlemen, please get your haircut done a day or two before as well. Don't stress out about what shoes you're going to wear or what color tie suits you better. If you're feeling stressed out, take deep breaths and calm yourself down. You don't want a panic attack before the dance. Whether it's with your friends or a date, remember to have fun! Homecoming is a night you won’t forget. Here are some tips to make it a memorable one for the right reasons:
"Make the night last. Dance while you can because after senior year, you won't have the chance anymore. Go with the right date and not someone who will leave you sitting down all night. Go eat somewhere where the food is bomb. Make sure to always be prepared for pictures." -Nick Herrera (12)
"A good tip would be to have money. Also, choose a good place to eat. Remember to get a fresh haircut and make sure your suit looks nice. Look good and decent for homecoming. And lastly, have fun!"
-Oscar Martinez (12, left)
"Don't wait till the last minute to get your stuff ready. Make sure to take a lot of pictures because you're going to want to look back at the memorable night. Most importantly, just have fun! You won't regret it, even if you don't know how to dance."
-Angie Magana (12, right)
"Make sure to show up on time. Nobody likes someone who is late. Also, make sure to plan ahead and most importantly, make dinner reservations. Every place is going to be packed, so call ahead to reserve a table for you and your friends. Remember to not stand around. Dance!"
-Guadalupe Chavez (12, center)

You, in Three Words
When people look in the mirror, they have different views on themselves and their personality underneath. Whether that being kind, smart, weird, or any others outside and in between. We went around campus asking our fellow Panthers how they would describe themselves in three words.
"Hopeful, optimistic and brave. I always believe there is good in bad and I hope for the best. Whenever I encounter a bad situation I do my best to stay hopeful and positive because that's the kind of person I am. I believe things can get better." Crystal Barriga (11)
Celeste Martinez (9): "Beautiful because everyone is beautiful in their own way whether it's in their personality or in their looks, everyone is beautiful! I am fun because I'm always laughing and making memories with my friends. And also outgoing because I'll randomly go up to you and begin a conversation."
Victoria Abadia (9): "Generous because I try and help others whenever someone needs me. I'm also shy because I don't really talk to people until I know them. And I'm also fun because I try and entertain people and have a good time."
"Hopeful, optimistic and brave. I always believe there is good in bad and I hope for the best. Whenever I encounter a bad situation I do my best to stay hopeful and positive because that's the kind of person I am. I believe things can get better." Crystal Barriga (11)
