Senior Catalog Sales Coming to a Close
"I filled up a whole order sheet already, and just started a second sheet. I've sold a lot because I have a huge family and I sell it at my mom's work as well. I just ask them to help me out so I can help our class get money into our account. At least I can try and help our senior year be great and really lit."
-Annalise Leon (12, left)
Fundraising has started early for the seniors. A couple of people have been trying to win all the prizes; if they can just sell $2,000 worth of merchandise it will happen! This is a very large amount of money, but it is certainly not an impossible mission and check out all the stuff they get: a PVHS keychain, lanyard, shirt, prom ticket, yearbook, and free trip to grad night.

There will be a lot of things that seniors have to do to make their last year the best year. It might seem like we have a lot of days left in school, but the days will go by really fast. The quicker we get the money for prom, the better. If we sell enough merchandise, we can have extra money and use it for something else like a Senior Gift. If we want prom to be the most special night ever, then we should try our best and sell at least 5 items. There will be another fundraiser, donut sales, coming our way, but we need to start selling merchandise now. The sooner we start raising money the better our senior year will be, and the less we have to worry.
-Cacilda Ramirez
"I've asked family, school staff, and my mom's coworkers to get to the total I have now. I'm the treasurer of our class, so it's my responsibility to own up to my title. It's our senior year, get out there and earn your activities!" -Cassandra Delgado (12)
Girls' Golf at Blacklake
Yesterday, October 4th, our Girls' Golf team played against Arroyo Grande at the Blacklake Golf Course in Nipomo. Starting at 2:30pm, our team split off into couples to play against other pairs on the AG team. With some hard work and passion, our girls scored a 299 while the AG girls had a total of 245. After lots of walking, swinging, and gentle clapping, we still have love for the sport and for our girls. Great job Lady Panthers! And good luck on your mini tourney in Atascadero on Thursday!

Thoughts collectively fall into my mind
And get released during bedtime.
I toss and I turn, hoping those thoughts
Will fall out of my ears but they stay awake.
They rage against the confines in my head,
Digging cavities into my brain as it festers.
Rotting holes fill my nose with an odor
Only darkness can call cologne.
My bloodshot eyes beg for a sign of dreams,
But all they could find are nightmares.
The only place where I felt safe, is now a
War zone where I'm alone on the battlefield.
My toes find its way down the stairs
Following the scent towards the kitchen.
Opening the fridge, the light casts
A halo around what I'm looking for.
I quickly pour the calming potion.
The sweetest cold juice runs warm as it
Slowly carousels around in the microwave.
The subtle hum like a lullaby of rest.
The gentle nectar cradles my mind,
Filling the hollows with dreams as it
Blankets a soft embrace around my tired soul.
It closes my restless eyes for a warm
Goodnight, Sweet dreams, Till tomorrow.
