"School of Rock" Coming Soon
"When people get back (from summer) to start the school year, like the next week we come back, we are going to open a play called The School of Rock. It is fabulous and the kids are great. It is such a fun show to rehearse, because it is like fourteen fabulous rock and roll songs, the kids sound great and it is fun. I can't wait for when we perform it. We have been planning it all year and I can't wait to actually open the show. The show is going to be fun, it is a big celebration. We practice every day after school, but it is not always the whole cast. There are 50 people in the casting crew. It is not always everyone, but we divide it up and do one scene then another scene. It is a joint effort between band, choir, drama, art, and industrial technology. To have all of those departments working together is really exciting and it is a bunch of kids. We have a lot of new students who have never been in a play before, because all of those kids are new. It will be the first production in the new theater." -Mrs. VanGronigen
"The School of Rock is going amazing, awesome. The tension is just building up for that theater because we were supposed to perform it later this month. We were supposed to perform it in the theater and it was supposed to be done. At first we were very sad about that, but I am thinking about it and it is building up the excitement for the production. So it is very exciting. Well I am going to say not everyone practices daily, but I practice daily because a lot of the script is on Dewey's lines, the main character. I have to be present pretty much every day, I get an off day once every month or so. The School Of Rock does practice every day" -Daniel Geiger (11)

"The School Of Rock is so far so good. We are getting really prepared and we are moving forward. I am very excited for when we perform and I am really excited to see how it is going to come out in the new theater. We practice almost every day for a couple of hours, but we get our things done." -Cleopatra Garcia (11).
"The school of Rock is pretty fun, it is going great and everybody is doing amazing. All of the freshman are doing great and I love them. I'm really excited for when we are going to perform it. I think it is going to be great as the new theater's first production. It is going to be a fantastic show. Me personally, I don't practice every day because I do not need to come every day. But we do practice every day for about two hours, but sometimes longer."

Are Seniors Excited for Grad Night?
"I'm excited for Grad night because it's basically a step that’s putting us forward in our new life. Starting anew. We all bought our ticket at the same time so we can ride on the same bus. We're going to ride the scariest ride out there with the biggest drop!" Edgar Jimenez (12)
"I'm excited for Grad night because it's going to be fun to be with all my friends at Six Flags. I heard from previous students that it's super fun. I plan to go on all the rides. We're also going to Grad week so Six Flags is just the cherry on top." Carolina Mouna (12)
"I was very excited for grad night at first, but as soon as I heard that there was a strict dress code it struck a nerve with me. The fact that we will have a stricter dress code at an amusement park than at school is kind of ruining the experience for me. However, I'll probably get over it and still have a good time." -Craig Lodes (12)
"I'm excited for grad night because we're going to Six Flags with the boys. It's going to be a good experience and why would you want to go anywhere without the boys?" -Jaime Ramirez (12)
