Soto got accepted to Sacramento State and is planning to go next year. He wants to start studying to become a firefighter or an EMT. He wants to settle down and start his profession in the Los Angeles area. Soto ran Cross Country and Track all four years at Pioneer Valley.  "The reasons I decided to join Cross Country and Track was to get faster and to spend more time with the close friends I met in those sports."

For some people in high school, they have good and bad years, Soto said that his "worst" year was his freshman year. He wasn’t really involved in the school community but his best year was his junior and the beginning of his senior year. He accomplished a lot more socially and academic wise.  Since Luis is on his way to graduation in a month, his advice for the class of 2021 freshman would be to get as involved as they can; such as clubs, sports, and volunteering and to stay focused academically and to truly enjoy spending time with others.
