Quote of the Week
"The best part about life? Every morning you have a new opportunity to become a happier version of yourself" -Unknown
"Every new day I can work on improving an aspect of myself. I can use this quote to remind myself that if I have a bad day, I can look forward to the next day to do better. The quote is useful because it is a reminder of opportunity and improvement" -Jose Garcia(11)
"Every day is a new chance, a new opportunity. I can use this quote through daily life to motivate me every day I wake up. This quote is very useful because in a way, it makes me excited to wake up each morning knowing I have another day, another chance to make things right"
-Cidnee Cabriales(11)
I feel this quote means that each and every day that you wake up you can start over and make the new day better. If you are having a bad day, do not let that keep you from moving forward. Keep moving forward because each day is a different day. -Elizabeth Morales
"This quote to means that everyone has the opportunity to have a second chance every day to be whom they want to be. I can use this quote through daily life by using it as a self-motivation to continue forward each and every day and to not let a bad day or bad situation shape how I live my life every day. This quote is very useful and meaningful because it can be a life changing moment for some people"-Leah Torres(11)
"I have a chance to not only make my day better but also make other people's lives better. I think this quote is significant because it inspires me to be a better person not just for me but also for the community." -Edrick Rodriguez

Future Panther Night
-Jasmin Chavez
Yesterday our school hosted the Future Panther Night. The event consisted of many eighth graders and their parents observing the many opportunities that this school offers. There were many clubs there, and some on them had things to say.
“People should join the SHARe Club because it’s an activism club, and it’s another way to get the word out there about things like relationship violence. It’s just a different type of club that not a lot of people really thought existed. It’s something new to try.”
“We believe because that these kinds of clubs are not common in every single school. We not only dance, but we explore Korean culture. Very good friendships built. Sometimes we don’t have a plan, we just go hang out because we’re all friends, because of this club. We still keep in touch with alumni.”
“It’s really fun and you make a family with them. You have bonding sessions and it’s a whole family. It’s really fun to join, it’s something that helps you as a person, communication, confidence, and being a better leader. I believe that this has flourished into something grand and it’s what people want to do. We went from being nobody to somebody and it is really great.”
“Why should people join Key Club? Because it’s an amazing way to get volunteer hours and you have fun with friends. You have a great impact on the community. You feel really good about helping and it feels like you’re spending time on something you’d want to do anyways with your friends. It’s a better experience in high school and everyone is really close. You meet a lot of new friends and become really close to them.”
“It’s a fun club. You do a lot of things and meet a lot of new people and make new friends. It’s like exploring a community. You meet a lot of people and it’s a good way to express your creativity. That’s why people should join yearbook.”
Taryn Anaya is Out of this World
Amongst the highly glorified athletics here at Pioneer Valley, there is an abundance of hidden talent. Here at the Panther Tales we try to praise the hidden talent, that at times, unfortunately goes unnoticed. Recent events in the town in these past couple of weeks, has caused credit due to a numerous amount of artists that attend Pioneer Valley. Today, Taryn Anaya will be given recognition for her art work that is simply out of this world. Anaya has been known for her artwork by her Instagram handle (follow her @taryn_paints), where she paints personalized paintings for anyone and everyone. Although she is skilled in many different painting techniques, her most acclaimed painting style is this outer space oriented art piece. Using spray paint and circular shaped objects, Anaya creates these masterpieces.
The Santa Maria Town Center Mall has hosted an Art Show where local talents can display their work with the potential of earning recognition and ribbons. Throughout this Art Show, there are different segments that one can be placed in. Taryn Anaya won third place in Design for her outer space piece shown below. She isn’t the only Panther whose talent was recognized at the local Art Show, tune in tomorrow to hear even more talent that Pioneer Valley students has to offer.
