DJ Claborn South Coast Regional Officer Winner
There were over 50 different candidates that began the process in hopes of becoming a Regional Officer. The field was narrowed to less than half who then faced the challenged of presenting a 2-minute speech in order to attain enough votes from the delegate assembly in order to have the honor of serving the South Coast Region as an officer. Daniel Joseph Claborn delivered his speech and thereafter was announced that he was elected as the South Coast Regional Treasurer.
DJ was quoted saying, “It is exciting and humbling to be elected by my peers to serve them this upcoming year. I want to thank my parents, my fellow FFA members at Pioneer Valley High School who have helped me become the leader I am today.”
-G. Ponce
The team’s year of service will be marked by developing, facilitating, and presenting at various sectional, regional, and state events. They will learn the value of working on a team with eleven different personalities. They will be held responsible for planning and coordinating their goals, mission, and theme for our Region that spans from San Jose to Los Angeles. DJ served as a Sectional FFA Officer this past year and will now undergo a year of service at the Regional FFA level. Mr. Ponce says, “DJ is a product of a student in FFA that has taken advantage of the opportunities that we have to offer. FFA has something for everyone and I encourage others to see DJ as a student that has done just that, to not let opportunity pass him by.” Pioneer Valley FFA is proud of DJ’s accomplishments and wish him the best as he embarks on his next journey.

Persona 5 Reviewed
Persona 5 is a role-playing game from Atlus. It's the sixth in the Persona series that was released around September of last year. This came can compare to the Kingdom Hearts series as well as Final Fantasy. Also the combat is turn based like the older Final Fantasies.
According to Wikipedia, “The gameplay is where the player takes on the role of a silent protagonist, a high school student who lives out a single year while attending high school in Tokyo: Tokyo is governed by a day-night cycle and weather systems that govern general behavior similar to a social simulation. The year is punctuated by both scripted and random events — the protagonist attends school, can go to part-time jobs within Tokyo, and pursue leisure activities or create items for use in other areas of the game. These various activities raise character attributes, which in turn grant passive buffing effects during battle.”
My thoughts are that it is a fantastic game, the combat is smooth, the soundtrack is so good and it complements the game so nicely. I have put in 15 hours so far and I say this is a must play for anyone who has a ps4 or ps3.
