Grape Job!
PVHS Ornamental Horticulture Class played a major role creating the school’s new vineyard. The new project is taking shape where the orchard is located. Next year there will be a class offered that will study the arts of viticulture. In the vineyard, we have Chardonnay, Pinot, Table, and Syrah. Hopefully next year, the students who helped create the vineyard will get a chance to physically see their work (not just in their notebooks.)
Also if anyone would like, the garden is ready to harvest *FREE VEGGIES* out at the PVHS Garden. So grab a bag and take any veggies out there you'd like, grown by your own PVHS Horticulture Class.

Quote of the Week
-Elizabeth Morales
"A dream doesn't become reality through magic; It takes sweat, determination and hard work." -Colin Powell
For me this quotes means that, you can't just pass by in life and expect to do great in life if you are not even trying. You have to work for it because things will not come to you easily.
-Elizabeth Morales
"I definitely agree with this quote. A dream is like a seed. To grow a healthy plant, it needs to be nurtured and provided. It won't grow out of the blue without any sunlight, water, soil or nutrients; it just won't grow healthy at all! We can feed the dream tons of imagination, creative thoughts or "magic" but it won't get anywhere if the individual doesn't take action to pursue it. The dream won't be realized on its own. "Magic" won't do anything. It takes hard work, perseverance, and "determination". The nutrients to grow a nourishing plant has just as much work for a dream to come to life. This is one quote that has helped me and will continue to help me throughout life. Dreams won't become reality if it is not to be worked for because magic and wishing won't get the dream done." -Brenda Linares (11)
"What this quote means to me is that when you don't take action to live your dreams or reach your goals, someone somewhere else in the world will. Throughout life, people should always take risks, put in the practice, and be willing to pay the price. You are responsible for the results you get in the end. And yes, I do agree with the Colin Powell's quote." -Esli Martinez (11)
"To me, it means that nothing in life is easy. Every good thing comes at a cost. This quote can help me by reminding me that even at the most stressful times, my hard work will pay off in the long run. I honestly don't agree 100% with this quote, because many people in the world have money and power handed to them without ever releasing a drop of sweat in their life." -Victor Salgado (12)
"I agree with the quote. I think it means that there will be hard times for/in everything you do, but in the end it will be all worth it. This could help by reminding people that you have to go through rough times for all of your effort to pay off." -Erica Arredondo (11)
Paso Brings the Heat to Varsity Baseball
The Pioneer Valley varsity baseball team fought hard on Friday afternoon against the Paso Robles Bearcats but succumbed to their sharp claws and vicious fangs. The boys showed their amazing sportsmanship and teamwork and kept their spirits high even though they didn't win this game. You'll get the next game, better luck next time Panthers!
