MARCH 10TH

an apple from

the long arm you

carry around

your shoulder fell.

it shriveled into

desperate

love notes,

never bitten

just torn.

the sweat from

your eyebrows

that slump

over a horizon

on your porcelain

skin dripped

onto my new

sweater.

it cracked like

the sky the day

you said a man

was your only

salvation,

bitter it sounded.

fearful dollar

bills

crumple in

the indent of

this poem,

money can be

found in the

confines

of my finger

nails

Tough Match Against Paso Robles

-Elizabeth Morales & Jordan Gonzales

Last night PV's Varsity Volleyball team played against Paso. For the first match the boys were close it was 20-25. The second match the game was very intense it kept on going back and forth. It was 24-24 and you have to win by two. We ended up winning the match 27-25 however, lost the third and fourth match. Even though the varsity boys ended up losing, they still put up a good fight. They fought through and gave it their all. They will get them next time! Come on out and support our Panthers!

Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Grimm

-Jonathan Hedlund

''I became a teacher because I enjoy showing people how to do things. I like the feeling I get when I see people get excited about learning new things. I have many hobbies: auto repair, electronic project, playing guitar, movie editing, multi track music recording, drawing and social media. In high school I was pretty self- conscious and wanted to be liked. I had a couple close friends and I hang out a lot with them. I was in wrestling in the 9th and 10th grade, but I was no good, and then I played on the soccer team in the 11th and 12th grade and felt very important and happy.'' –Mr.Grimm

''What I like about his teaching is that he gives me as much assistance as he can. He makes me use my phone for school assignments.''

-GJ Ramos (12)

''What I like about his teaching is that he gets the work done right away and is helpful to others. He has helped me in ways that no other has before.''

-Gabriel Zambrano (10)

''Mr. Grimm is funny, smart, creative and cares a lot about others''

-Isaac Valdoivondo (9)

''Mr. Grimm is unique because he is a great guy to be around and also the best at this school to talk to about life.''

-Austin Jones (11)

-Jose Perez
