Star Wars Land Hopeful

Disneyland is opening a new section of the park called Star Wars Land in 2019. Star Wars Land is, for example, going to be like Tomorrow Land, Frontier Land, or Adventure Land. This is a 14-arce Star Wars expansion. It is estimated to be $1 billion for construction. They are moving all the Star Wars attractions from Tomorrow Land to the new Star Wars Land. Star Wars fans are definitely going to be thrilled about it, but how do our panthers feel?

-Breadman Lopez

"I think it's honestly going to be dope, because there are more fans of Star Wars now and more people are watching it. So yeah, it’s going to be radical." -David Lopez (12)

"I think its going to be pretty cool and different. I believe Star Wars fans are going to really enjoy that part of the park." -Leah Torres (11)

"Star Wars Land is a cool idea, now that Disney owns it, and now it's going to come with a whole bunch of new merchandise like shirts and all that good stuff. Those new space rides will be pretty cool. I can't wait to visit it with my kids, because they're going to watch the movies and think it's amazing." -Michael Dumitrescu (12)

"I really don’t have an opinion and don’t really care for the Star Wars Franchise. I'm not interested in Star Wars and it never really peaked my interest." -Edgar Jimenez (12)

In doubles competition, Luis Carpintero (12) and Ramon Lemus (12) also served up a great match against Santa Maria High with scores of 6-2, 6-2, and 6-0. Doubles pair Oliver Peregrin (12) and Manuel Lopes (12) lost 1 but won the next two matches 6-1 and 6-1.
