Girls' Wrestling Makes It to CIF!
Pioneer Valley High school will be hosting the girls wrestling California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) regional championships this coming weekend. There will be 14 girls from Pioneer Valley that will participate. Congrats to the girls wrestling team for making it to CIF. They have come a long way to get to where they are at right now. All of the girls have worked so hard, good luck this weekend! See you at 10:00am Saturday morning in the PV gym!!
"I feel very accomplished making it to CIF because it was one of the many goals I have set for myself going into my senior year. I'll be preparing by pushing myself harder than I have this season because this is now the point I have to show everything I've practiced for. Hopefully go much further than CIF. I think as a team we have a very high chance of placing first because we have a very strong lineup going into CIF" -Malina Bourbon (12)
"Making it to CIF is honestly just the first step to climbing the mountain. One step closer to state and placing in nationals. To prepare for CIF I will push myself to my limit every day and just work on all the little techniques that need to be cleaned up. I think the chances are really high for our team to take 1st. I believe if every one of us wrestles to the best of our ability, we will win the title, no doubt."
-Carolina Molina (12)
"I'm really excited about making it but also nervous since it's my first time going. I'm preparing for CIF by having tough practices, maintaining my weight, just trying to push myself in and out of the wrestling room and having a positive attitude. I think the chances are high because the past 3 years we've hosted CIF regionals and we've placed 1st"
-Gaby Rivas (11)
"It feels good to host CIF and to have it here at Pioneer Valley so that all our fans can come see and watch. We take pride in trying to win another regional championship for the school. We train three hours a day Monday through Friday and the girls have to do their own conditioning on Saturdays and Sundays. We do an hours’ worth of conditioning which is weights and cardio and then we have two hours of practice in the wrestling room where we are just battling each other and making ourselves better. We have like a 40% chance, we are ranked number four or five in CIF and we are behind some really good teams but depending on how many girls we get to qualify for the championships, we may have a chance of winning it. The more girls we get out of the 14 that qualify our chances are obviously going to increase to get it. There are some really good teams out there and we got to wrestle our best to be able to overcome them in the end. I'm sad about my seniors graduating especially the five that are graduating this year. I have been with them for all four years but they are a pretty close group of girls. It's cool to see them grow so much but it is hard at the same time to let them go and knowing this is the last month, the last couple of weeks that they will be wrestling for me and for the school." -Coach IIac
"Making it to CIF again is a step closer to my goal, going to Master's, I feel excited for it. I'll be preparing for it by working hard in practice and not giving up in myself and my teammates. The chances of us 14 girls taking 1st individual is pretty high"

"From the first bite of your burger to your last french fry, quality is the most important ingredient of all," In-N-Out Burger.
In-N-Out Burger is one of California's most popular landmarks. Who could forget that delicious first bite of a quality burger? In-N-Out Burger is actually one of the first fast food restaurants to have a drive thru. Even though you always see the drive thru packed with cars they will do their best to get you "in and out" of there to meet the satisfaction of a good quality burger, French fries, or shake.

Walking into the burger joint, you feel a welcoming environment parred with an aromatic smell of wonders. The employees are quick on their feet, including a smile with every burger served. They keep their restaurant spotless day and night. In-N-Out Burger is always willing to give a great food/customer service experience.

Their patties are made from 100% beef with no preservatives and they also bake the buns using old-fashioned, slow-rising sponge dough. They don’t use frozen ingredients but fresh veggies and cheese. It's the real stuff so you know it’s quality food. A good burger parred up with some freshly cut French fries will leave you wanting more. In-N-Out Burger also has a not so secret menu if you would like to give a try. The secret menu consist of: Animal style burger or fries (add pickle, extra spread with grilled onions), protein burger (your favorite burger wrapped in hand-leafed lettuce instead of a bun), and much more. The best part about this restaurant is that not only is their food amazing but their prices are not too expensive, and you don’t need to spend a lot of money on a good quality meal!

Lookin' So Fry
TABLE CLOTH
I knew a man
who was a torn
table cloth.
his wounds sealed
with lipstick of
women who
ran a country
club on his
vacations.
they were all
separate, because
his wife thought a
golf retreat would
make him feel better
enough, he would
stop beating
silver into her elbows.
like a gold watch
dug up from an
empty lot.
that cloth
covered miles of
dirty land,
underneath a
promise.
too much love
can become
poisonous
